Let's start with the basics. "How's the weather today?" The most common answer in Britain: "It's a bit cloudy" or "It's looking a bit grey."
Sunny days: "What a lovely day!" or "It's beautiful out there." British people are genuinely excited when the sun comes out!
Rainy days: "It's pouring down" means heavy rain. "It's just drizzling" means light rain. "It's absolutely chucking it down!" is very British for really heavy rain.
Cold weather: "It's freezing cold" or "It's absolutely bitter out there." "I can see my breath" means it's very cold.
Hot weather: "It's scorching today" or "It's absolutely roasting." British people often complain when it's too hot!
For forecasts: "Is it going to rain tomorrow?" "What's the forecast say?" "I heard there's a chance of showers."
