Once upon a time, there were four little rabbits. Their names were Flopsy, Mopsy, Cotton-tail, and Peter.
They lived with their mother in a sandbank, underneath the root of a very big fir-tree.
"Now, my dears," said old Mrs. Rabbit one morning, "you may go into the fields or down the lane, but don't go into Mr. McGregor's garden."
Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cotton-tail, who were good little rabbits, went down the lane to pick blackberries.
But Peter, who was very naughty, ran straight away to Mr. McGregor's garden.
He squeezed under the gate and started eating some lettuces and some French beans. Then he ate some radishes.
Then, feeling rather sick, he went to look for some parsley. But guess what? He ran into Mr. McGregor!
Mr. McGregor was on his knees planting cabbages. When he saw Peter, he jumped up and ran after him, shouting, "Stop, thief!"
Peter was very frightened. He ran all over the garden. He lost his shoes among the cabbages.

روزی روزگاری، چهار خرگوش کوچولو بودن. اسم‌هاشون فلوپسی، موپسی، کاتن‌تیل و پیتر بود.
اونا با مادرشون توی یک تپه شنی، زیر ریشه یک درخت نراد خیلی بزرگ زندگی میکردن.
"حالا، عزیزان من," صبح یک روز خانم ریبیت پیر گفت، "میتونید برید توی مزرعه یا پایین کوچه، ولی نرید توی باغ آقای مک‌گریگور."
فلوپسی، موپسی و کاتن‌تیل، که خرگوش‌های خوبی بودن، پایین کوچه رفتن توت سیاه بچینن.
ولی پیتر، که خیلی شیطون بود، مستقیم دوید توی باغ آقای مک‌گریگور.
از زیر در رد شد و شروع کرد به خوردن کاهو و لوبیا فرانسوی. بعد چند تا شلغم خورد.
بعد، حالت تهوع داشت، رفت دنبال جعفری. ولی حدس بزنید چی شد؟ دوید به آقای مک‌گرگور!
آقای مک‌گرگور روی زانوهاش نشسته بود کلم کاشته. وقتی پیتر رو دید، بلند شد و دنبالش دوید، فریاد زد: "ایست، دزد!"
پیتر خیلی ترسیده بود. توی باغ همه جا دوید. کفش‌هاش رو توی کلم‌ها گم کرد. ادامه دارد...
