Understand all four conditional types with simple examples and memory tricks.
Welcome, grammar enthusiasts! Today we're covering conditionals. Don't worry, I'll make it simple!
Zero Conditional: Used for general truths and facts. "If you heat water to 100 degrees, it boils." "If it rains, the ground gets wet." The pattern is: If + present, present.
First Conditional: For real/likely future situations. "If it rains tomorrow, I will take an umbrella." "If you study hard, you will pass the exam." Pattern: If + present, will + base verb.
Second Conditional: For unreal/imaginary situations. "If I won the lottery, I would buy a house." "If I were you, I would study more." Pattern: If + past, would + base verb.
Note: "If I were" not "If I was" in formal English!
Third Conditional: For past regrets. "If I had studied harder, I would have passed." "If she had left earlier, she wouldn't have been late." Pattern: If + past perfect, would have + past participle.
Memory trick: Zero = always true. First = might happen. Second = probably won't happen. Third = too late, already happened.
Common mistake: "If I would have money" is WRONG. It should be "If I had money."

شرطی صفر: برای حقایق عمومی. "آب رو به ۱۰۰ درجه برسونی، میجوشه." "بارون بیاد، زمین خیس میشه." الگو: If + حال ساده، حال ساده.
شرطی اول: برای موقعیت‌های آینده واقعی. "فردا بارون بیاد، چتر میبرم." "سخت درس بخونی، امتحانو قبول میشی." الگو: If + حال ساده، will + فعل پایه.
شرطی دوم: برای موقعیت‌های غیرواقعی. "اگه بخت‌آزمایی رو میبردم، خونه می‌خریدم." "اگه جای تو بودم، بیشتر درس میخوندم." الگو: If + گذشته، would + فعل پایه.
توجه: "If I were" نه "If I was" در انگلیسی رسمی!
شرطی سوم: برای پشیمانی‌های گذشته. "اگه بیشتر درس خونده بودم، قبول شده بودم." "اگه زودتر رفته بودم، دیر نمیرسیدم." الگو: If + گذشته کامل، would have + فعل ماضی.
ترفند حفظ کردن: صفر = همیشه درسته. اولی = ممکنه اتفاق بیفته. دومی = احتمالاً اتفاق نمیفته. سومی = دیر شده، قبلاً اتفاق افتاده.
اشتباه رایج: "If I would have money" اشتباه هست. باید بگید: "If I had money."
