Singapore has launched a free national program that teaches coding and computer programming to all children under 16. The program, called Code for Kids, offers over 200 online courses in different programming languages, starting from basic visual coding for young children to advanced Python and JavaScript for teenagers. Every child in Singapore can join the program using their national student ID. The government has invested 20 million dollars in the initiative. Education experts believe that learning to code helps children develop problem-solving and logical thinking skills. The program also includes robotics projects and game development. More than 50,000 students have already signed up since the program started in July.
