A story gives you a reason to keep reading. Because the plot carries you forward, you tolerate words you do not know — which is exactly the reading behaviour that builds fluency. A textbook passage rarely creates that pull.
Finish the story without stopping, then go back to the words that recurred. Questions at the end check whether you followed the plot, which is the real measure of comprehension — not how many words you looked up.
Many stories have audio. Read the story first, then listen to the same text — the meaning you already know makes the sound easier to catch, and the pairing trains listening without frustration.

بسیاری از داستان‌ها صدا دارند. اول داستان را بخوانید، بعد همان متن را بشنوید — معنایی که می‌دانید شنیدن صدا را آسان‌تر می‌کند و این جفت‌شدن، شنیدار را بدون سرخوردگی تمرین می‌دهد.
