Read graded texts, short stories and articles at your level, with vocabulary help and comprehension questions attached to each one.
A text where you understand most words but meet a few new ones is ideal. Easier than that teaches little; much harder than that turns reading into dictionary work and kills the habit.
Finish the passage before looking anything up. You will often find the meaning of an unknown word resolved a paragraph later, and you train yourself to tolerate gaps — a skill real reading demands.
After each text, save two or three words that appeared repeatedly, not every unfamiliar one. Words that recur in context are the ones you are most likely to meet again, and they survive review better.

متنی که بیشتر واژه‌هایش را می‌فهمید اما چند واژهٔ تازه دارد، ایده‌آل است. آسان‌تر از آن کم می‌آموزد و بسیار سخت‌تر، خواندن را به کار دیکشنری تبدیل می‌کند و عادت را از بین می‌برد.
پیش از جست‌وجوی هر واژه، متن را تمام کنید. اغلب معنی واژهٔ ناشناس یک پاراگراف بعد روشن می‌شود و یاد می‌گیرید با شکاف‌ها کنار بیایید — مهارتی که خواندن واقعی می‌طلبد.
بعد از هر متن، دو یا سه واژه‌ای را ذخیره کنید که تکرار شده‌اند، نه هر واژهٔ ناآشنا. واژه‌هایی که در بافت تکرار می‌شوند بیشتر دیده می‌شوند و مرور را بهتر تحمل می‌کنند.
